The Brake fluid level should be checked before every day's ride and during every maintenance cycle. The fluid should be changed every 2 years or at 19,200 km (12,000 miles), whichever comes first. The recommended brake fluid is Honda DOT 4.

Inspection:
With the motorcycle in an upright position, check the fluid level using the sight glass on the reservoir. If the level is at or below the LOWER level mark (1), check your brake pads for wear. If your pads are not worn, then check your brake system closely for leaks.
