Vomio, that sounds very suspicious as I had noticed the rubber grommet was also missing from my air box when I put it on.  This was on the rear bolt.  Having experimented 2 weeks ago with windshield on and off, I did notice that there was a significant increase in wind drag at about 100kmh.  Thus, maybe it rapidly fades from 80-100 because that is the speed range when the bolt fixture gets rapidly loaded and "bottoms out" solidly due to wind pressure.  When I get home tonight I am going to make that a priority to check.  Very interesting indeed.

Silly me.  The sound disappears the moment I reach out with my foot and drop the highway peg into its horizontal position....or if I tighten its bolt. LOL

Just finished doing my valves. I removed the water hoses before removing the valve covers. Then I used a syringe and tubing to suck the coolant out of the coolant pipes to prevent any coolant got into the valves. After finishing the valves I used the syringe to replenish the coolant.

Thanks for the tip tabaka45.

A good way to avoid a mess.

May I ask what the source was for the syringe?

I got mine on eBay. But tractor supply has them and I saw one at Walmart last week. I think any animal supply would have them. Got the clear tubing at a hardware store. I have 2 of the syringes and they come in handy. Even used it to reverse bleed my rebuilt brakes. Just slip the tubing on the nipple and it works great.

Type in 100mm syringe on eBay and you will see a lot of them, and some cheaper.
