Ride for Dad 2017

My wife and I go on this ride yearly, it's a ride to raise funds for prostate cancer. Normally it's a sunburn concern , last year I was so burnt I blistered, with sunscreen! Normally we get 300-500 bikes.

 

This year however there was a looming chance of thunderstorms early in the week that grew to a 80% of severe. By saturday morning ( ride day) it changed to sunny no rain till 2 pm.. the ride goes to 3pm , so was worth the risk.

 

Got there, only maybe 100 bikes total, weather scared them all off. But it looked nice ( first photos) so we went anyway.

 

At 12pm the sky just turned! Down pour right until 4pm!

 

Wife and I completely soaked, i had to pour water out of my boots at the end. Was fun though.

 

Bike looks like I went mudding!

 

It continued to pour right through Fathers Day, and into today, So it's still very much muddy!

 

Going to wash it tonight though!
